The On It Foundation, a National 501(c)(3) public non-profit has pivoted during the pandemic to address the organizations tremendous increase of families requesting laptops for online learning and remote work during these unprecedented times. The First 'Crowd-Computer' Platform, 'Get On It Now!', will assist families without a computer and/or Internet within the United States.
MIAMI - ColoradoDesk -- Founded in 1999 by Ms. Phair, The On It Foundation's mission is dedicated to providing free computers and 21st Century Skill Sets to include STEM Education to low-income families with students in grades K-12 that receive a free/reduced school lunch, attend a public/home school and reside within the United States.
"With many students remote learning during the pandemic, our organization has received an increase in the request for laptops - not only from families, but also from schools and technology centers. At the same time, our corporate computer donations decreased, understandably due to companies offering employee telecommuting," states Ms. Phair. "I created the platform eight years ago and hadn't launched it. For me, challenges provide an opportunity to produce innovation and creativity – even during COVID-19," coined Phair.
