DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that Zero Homes, which helps homeowners navigate home electrification, has selected Colorado for expansion. The company will expand in the Metro Denver area and expects to create at least 53 new good-paying jobs.
"In Colorado, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and saving Coloradans money on energy bills. I am excited to welcome Zero Homes to Colorado, helping us to boost our clean energy economy, and creating 53 new good-paying jobs," said Governor Polis.
To assist homeowners in completing upgrades, Zero Homes has pioneered an all virtual process that reduces the cost of implementing high impact upgrades, such as heat pumps. The process is completed through a free mobile app and backed by the Zero Homes' team, which supports customers from project design to installation, including job scheduling, final inspections and rebates. The approach is designed to simplify the entire process and reduce overhead for both homeowners and installers.
"We're proud to be building in Colorado and to be leading the charge to rebuild our communities and homes in a more sustainable way. This support from the state makes a strong statement about what the administration values and the innovation they are willing to back to enable the future we want. Heat pumps and more affordable, healthier homes are more accessible than ever," said Grant Gunnison, Zero Homes Founder & CEO.
In the Metro Denver region, the company expects to create 53 net new jobs at an average annual wage of $140,377. Positions will include software engineers, operations staff and management.

"Zero Homes' decision to expand in Colorado is a clear testament to our state's leadership in clean tech and our strong, growing economy. We are thrilled to support the development of the Zero Homes app to help simplify home electrification and the company's expansion in Colorado," said OEDIT Executive Director Eve Lieberman.
To support the company's expansion in Colorado, the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $745,374 in a performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit for the company over an eight-year period. These incentives are contingent upon Zero Homes, referred to as Project Caraway throughout the OEDIT review process, meeting net new job creation and salary requirements. In 2025, Zero Homes was awarded an Early State Capital and Retention grant through OEDIT's Advanced Industries Accelerator Program managed by the Global Business Development division.
"Zero Homes' expansion in the Metro Denver region highlights Colorado's leadership at the intersection of clean technology, innovation, and talent. We are proud to work alongside our partners in Colorado Springs and across the Front Range Economic Collaborative to support projects like this that strengthen the entire region. With strong wages, high-quality jobs, and a mission aligned with Colorado's clean energy goals, Zero Homes is exactly the type of company we collectively aim to attract and grow," said Raymond H. Gonzales, President of the Metro Denver EDC.
In addition to Colorado, Zero Homes considered Austin, Texas for expansion. The company currently has 23 in Colorado.
