Located in the Oshiage section of Tokyo's Sumida Ward, near TOKYO SKYTREE® these accommodations inspired by Edo-Period Houses opened on February 11, 2026. They present a new lodging experience, allowing for long-term stays, where guests comingle with the local community, a concept based on Japan's "Kotomachi Project."
TOKYO, Japan - ColoradoDesk -- With the addition of the new T-home KEI, the "T-home Series" (hotels) now comprises seven buildings with 42 bedrooms total. Depending on the building and room type, accommodations are available for large families or groups ranging from 4 to 12 people. Rooms are fully equipped with necessary appliances, including washer-dryer, refrigerator, cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, etc., as well as tableware and dishware. All facilities are within a 5-minute walk from the nearest station - Oshiage Station or TOKYO SKYTREE Station. Oshiage Station offers direct access to both Haneda and Narita International Airports without transfers, and Asakusa Station is just two stops/three-minutes away.
The newly opened T-home KEI is the largest facility with 29 rooms, accommodating up to 200 guests total – 4 to 10 people per room, depending upon the room type. Designed as a two-story wooden building inspired by Edo-period commoner residences, it incorporates traditional Japanese elements throughout, allowing foreign tourists to experience Japanese culture during their stay.

Unique dining establishments are planned for the facility and various events showcasing Japan's four seasons will be held in the open spaces on the grounds. The hotel emphasizes interaction and experiences with both other guests and area residents, with the aim of fostering a vibrant community.
The "Kotomachi Project"
Tobu Group promotes the "Kotomachi Project," which literally means "happenings and town." The aim is to guide Tokyo Skytree Town visitors into the surrounding areas and create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the entire neighborhood. As part of this initiative, alongside the "T-home" series, Tobu Group operates the "Kotomachi Lab" as a community exchange facility that has attracted a number of casual dining establishments, where visitors from around the world can interact with neighborhood locals.
