DENVER, July 1, 2025 ~ Morris Animal Foundation, a renowned organization dedicated to advancing veterinary science and promoting animal health, has announced the appointment of Ike Nicoll as its new chief executive officer. With over 30 years of experience in leading large-scale transformations at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and strategic growth, Nicoll is expected to bring valuable expertise to the foundation.
According to Jonathan Jachimiec, trustee and interim president and CEO of Morris Animal Foundation, Nicoll's impressive track record of building innovative and mission-focused organizations immediately stood out to them. Jachimiec believes that Nicoll's strategic leadership and long-term vision will help the foundation expand its reach, deepen its scientific impact, and ensure the health of animals worldwide.
Prior to joining Morris Animal Foundation, Nicoll served as CEO and board member of US Retina. During his tenure, he successfully led a company-wide restructuring and guided the organization through a successful sale to McKesson Corp. Under his leadership, US Retina saw significant growth in purchasing volume, built a market-leading analytics platform, and increased revenue through commercial realignment.

Nicoll's career also includes leading Cancer Clinics of Excellence, a national network of oncology practices focused on delivering cost-effective and high-quality care. In this role, he collaborated with prominent clinical and technology organizations such as Oregon Health & Science University, Intel, and various venture-backed startups on go-to-market strategy, business model innovation, and clinical data management.
With an executive background spanning Fortune 500 companies and healthcare startups alike - including IBM Global Services, AmerisourceBergen, and Franklin Covey - Nicoll brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Morris Animal Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University.
Nicoll expressed his honor in joining Morris Animal Foundation and building upon its legacy of science-driven impact. He believes that there are few organizations with such a powerful combination of purpose, credibility, and potential for global influence in animal health.
