Named Top 25 Best Workplaces in Aging Services by Fortune Magazine
IRVINE, Calif. - ColoradoDesk -- MBK Senior Living has earned its fourth consecutive Great Place to Work certification from the Great Place to Work Institute. The company was also named one of Fortune magazine's "Best Workplaces for Aging Services for the second year in a row. Earning these designations was particularly meaningful for the company, following a tumultuous year of battling COVID and working to keep residents and team members happy, healthy, and engaged.
Great Place to Work is an independent research and consulting firm that evaluates more than 60 elements of team members' experience on the job. These include employee pride in the organization's community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees' experiences, no matter who they are or what they do. The Great Place to Work Institute considered more than 1,000 employee surveys across MBK's 32 locations and home office.

"We've been stretched, burdened, and burnt out by COVID and the demands it has placed on us," said Jeff Fischer, president of MBK Senior Living. "Through it all, MBK team members have consistently and courageously shown me their strength, compassion, tenacity, and resourcefulness."
According to Fischer, despite the staffing challenges, vaccine mandates for all employees, and the continuation of the pandemic, the company continues to make forward progress.
"In addition to the 'Great Place to Work' certification and 'Best Workplace' listing, we're seeing a rush of new residents who are longing for the comfort and care MBK communities provide," said Fischer. "In answer to the demand, our team members continue to go the distance which only demonstrates more their commitment to our culture of caring and doing the good work – or as we call it, Yoi Shigoto."
"I'm incredibly proud of the MBK Senior Living team and honored to receive a 'Great Place to Work' certification, and for Fortune magazine, to list us as one of the 'Best Workplaces in Aging Services' once again," added Fischer.
