Beloved Colorado event raises funds for cancer patients, families, and caregivers
CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- One of Colorado's most meaningful summer traditions returns to the Elk Mountains this July. On Saturday, July 26th, hundreds of hikers will gather at Mt. Crested Butte for the 26th Annual Summit Hike (https://livingjourneys.org/summit-hike-2025/) — an inspiring, community-driven event supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
Hosted by Living Journeys, (https://livingjourneys.org/) a nonprofit that was founded in 2000 to help support Gunnison Valley residents impacted by cancer, the Summit Hike invites participants to hike to the 12,162-foot summit of Mt. Crested Butte, take a scenic chairlift ride and explore from the top, or enjoy food, music, and festivities at the base. Open to all ages, the event welcomes locals and visitors for a family-friendly day of remembrance, support and celebration.
