Standardized care kits focus on essential health, education, and safety needs
SAN DIEGO - ColoradoDesk -- White Glove Restoration today announced a humanitarian initiative delivering "Help in Boxes"—standardized care kits designed with local input—to communities in Ghana. The effort focuses on practical, durable items that address everyday needs following hardship or disruption.
"Our goal is simple: pack smart, ship responsibly, and support local partners who know their communities best," said Roy Fogel, President at White Glove Restoration. "These boxes are built around what's asked for on the ground—nothing more, nothing less."
What goes in each box (typical contents):
The project is carried out in coordination with community organizations, clinics, and schools in Ghana to guide distribution, avoid duplication, and ensure that boxes reach families and students with verified needs. Packaging is optimized for efficient shipping and last‑mile delivery, using sturdy cartons sized for hand‑carry and motorbike transport where roads are limited.

"The emphasis on listening first and sending only what is useful is exactly what our communities have asked for," noted Joshua Amartey, White Glove Restoration partner representative in Ghana. "The education and lighting kits, especially, make an immediate difference for students and caregivers."

- Co‑design: Local partners provide lists of prioritized items by region and season.
- Smart packing: Kits are standardized for speed, then tailored by age group or clinic/school need.
- Clear handoff: Boxes are logged and transferred to vetted partners for tracked, last‑mile distribution.
- Feedback loop: Short follow‑ups capture what was most helpful and what to improve in future shipments.
