Living Abroad and IMPACT Group Awarded "Best Partnership between Two Service Providers" by FEM Americas EMMAs
DARIEN, Conn. & ST. LOUIS - ColoradoDesk -- Living Abroad and IMPACT Group are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the EMMA for "Best Partnership between Two Service Providers" by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) at the Americas Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards (EMMAs).
"We are so honored to have been selected for this EMMA. Our partnership with IMPACT Group has been an extraordinary success, bringing cultural coaching to many people for a fraction of the cost of traditional training," said Cathy Heyne, President of Living Abroad.
Training programs have traditionally taken place in a room with a single instructor, where physical presence is required for all participants. This approach often creates inconvenience for assignees and drives higher expenses.
"IMPACT Group is at heart a coaching company," says Lauren Herring, CEO of IMPACT Group, "and we're so proud to have created a solution that integrates a best-in-class technology platform like Living Abroad's Culture Coach Online with 1:1 personalized coaching. Unlike group cross-cultural training workshops, our solution addresses the unique concerns of every individual assignee and household relocating to another culture."
In early 2020, IMPACT Group entered a partnership with Living Abroad, adding a cultural learning platform, Culture Coach Online (CCO), to the array of services they provide to their clients. Because both organizations had already identified personalized support for their users in remote locations as a key value, they implemented this partnership seamlessly, even in the face of the global pandemic. Clients, assignees, and families, even when unable to travel, benefited from coaching and training that transformed cultural learning into globally aware behavior and successes. Two years later, this combination of resources remains unparalleled.

The EMMAs were judged by an independent group of leading mobility professionals from a variety of companies and industries. In selecting Living Abroad LLC and IMPACT Group, judges recognized that their shared values and robust technology platforms enable them to offer their best-in-class, highly curated services in more accessible formats, often at a fraction of the cost.
"I am particularly proud of the fact that both Living Abroad and IMPACT Group are women-owned businesses, and that we've been able to use this partnership to benefit so many people," said Heyne.
Unusual circumstances, such as the sudden onset of a global pandemic, require excellent communication and creative flexibility to ensure success. IMPACT Group and Living Abroad's partnership, initially forged from shared missions and values, was strengthened by embracing these practices with each other.
EMMAs entries are rigorously judged by a team of impartial, experienced, industry veterans, who voluntarily provide their expertise.
