LONGMONT, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- Green Point Roofing (GPR), a leading provider of high-quality residential and commercial roofing services, is proud to announce Kern Scott as the recipient of the company's 8th Annual Military Veteran Roof Donation. This annual initiative provides a full roof replacement to a local veteran in need, reflecting GPR's commitment to giving back to the community that supports its operations.
Kern Scott, a dedicated U.S. Navy veteran, served from August 16, 1972, to August 18, 1978. After completing Machinist Mate "A" School in Great Lakes, IL, Kern was stationed at Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Goldsborough (DDG-20) as a Machinist Mate 2nd Class. His service included earning the National Defense Service Medal and spans four separate destroyer assignments.
"At Green Point Roofing, we believe in supporting the heroes who have made significant sacrifices for our country," said a GPR representative. "It is one of our core values to recognize this service and provide the highest quality, most dependable roofing for a veteran like Kern Scott. This donation is a small but meaningful way for us to express our gratitude."
