DENVER ~ Denver - The state of Colorado is mourning the loss of journalist and public servant Lynn Bartels, who passed away today. Governor Polis released a statement expressing his deep sadness upon hearing the news.
"I've known Lynn for over 25 years and her passing today is a great loss. She was a dedicated journalist and public servant who committed her life to serving her fellow Coloradans," said Governor Polis.
Bartels was a well-known figure in Colorado politics, having worked for major newspapers such as the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post. She also served in the Secretary of State's Office under Wayne Williams and worked as an aide to Senator Barb Kirkmeyer in the legislature.
