Thomas pledges the most transparent, people-driven administration in Colorado history
DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Republican gubernatorial candidate Dr. Gregory A. Thomas today announced the Colorado First Democracy Pledge, a cornerstone of his campaign to restore public trust and ensure every Coloradan's voice shapes the direction of their state government.
Thomas — who calls Colorado his family — said his vision for governance is rooted in accountability, transparency, and service.
"Democracy is not a talking point — it's a relationship built on trust," Thomas said. "When I say Colorado First, I mean my family comes first. Every decision we make will be for the wellbeing of Colorado's people — not the convenience of political insiders or special interests."
Core Commitments of the Colorado First Democracy Pledge
Thomas emphasized that protecting democracy isn't about partisanship — it's about stewardship.

"We've reached a moment where politics has become louder than people," Thomas said. "My promise is simple: under my administration, no voice will be too small, no question will be ignored, and no Coloradan will ever wonder whether their government is listening."
Thomas added that democracy cannot survive without shared ownership and mutual respect — values he has learned to practice every day as an advocate for justice, restoration, and unity.
"Colorado is my family," Thomas continued. "And family means honesty, transparency, and showing up for one another. That's the kind of government I'll lead — one that listens first, acts second, and never hides behind a closed door."

Core Commitments of the Colorado First Democracy Pledge
- Radical Transparency: Thomas will publish a real-time public performance dashboard tracking budget spending, program outcomes, and cabinet accountability metrics. Every department will answer directly to the people.
- Open Government Access: Monthly "Governor's Forum" town halls — streamed statewide — where Coloradans can question the Governor, agency heads, and legislators directly.
- Ethics and Integrity Reform: Mandatory financial disclosure for senior appointees, strengthened whistleblower protections, and an independent Office of Public Accountability reporting directly to citizens.
- People-Driven Decision-Making: Policies will be tested against a single standard — the measurable wellbeing of Colorado families. If it doesn't help households thrive, it doesn't get signed.
- Civic Participation: Launch of the Colorado Civic Service Corps, empowering citizens to participate in community projects and policy feedback initiatives.
Thomas emphasized that protecting democracy isn't about partisanship — it's about stewardship.
