~ As the city of Colorado Springs continues to make improvements to its roadways, a section of South Nevada Avenue will be temporarily closed overnight for construction. According to a press release from the city, the closure will take place between Brookside Street and the Interstate 25 ramps starting at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17 and lasting until 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18.
The closure is necessary for crews to shift barriers and remove pavement markings in order to facilitate the ongoing construction work in the area. The northbound lane of South Nevada Avenue will be closed first, followed by the southbound lane which will reopen before the northbound lane.
