~ As of Friday, October 18 at 9 p.m., the northbound section of South Nevada Avenue, between Brookside Street and the Interstate 25 ramps, will be closed to traffic. This closure is expected to last until Saturday, October 19 at 5 a.m. In addition, the I-25 South Connector Road between South Tejon Street and South Nevada Avenue will also be closed during this time.
According to officials, these closures are necessary for crews to move construction barriers in the area. The closure on South Nevada Avenue will take place first and is expected to reopen before the I-25 South Connector Road closure.

To accommodate for these closures, detours will be in place on Friday night. Northbound traffic on South Nevada Avenue should take Brookside Street to South Tejon Street and then proceed to the I-25 South Connector Road before reaching South Nevada Avenue. For southbound traffic on I-25, drivers should take South Tejon Street to Brookside Street and then continue onto South Nevada Avenue before reaching I-25 South.
Travelers are advised to plan for additional travel time and seek alternate routes during this closure. In case of any delays or interruptions in the work, a second closure will occur starting Sunday, October 20 at 9 p.m. until Monday, October 21 at 5 a.m.
