Colorado Springs: Mountain Metro free summer rides start Sunday!

Trending...
~ Starting Sunday, June 1, Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) will be offering free bus and Metro Mobility rides until August 31, 2025. This marks the fourth consecutive year that MMT has participated in the Zero Fare Transit Grant program.

The decision to offer free fares during the summer months was made possible through the Ozone Season Transit Grant Program. This program allows transit agencies in Colorado to provide zero fares when ozone levels are typically at their highest.

Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager, expressed excitement for the fourth year of the summer zero fare program. "Over the past three summers, we have given over 2 million rides to people in the Pikes Peak Region and we are looking forward to doing it again this summer," said Rao.
