Colorado Springs: Know Your Rights: City offers free “Renter Rights 101” workshop on June 10

~ The City of Colorado Springs, along with its partners, is hosting a free informational session called "Renter Rights 101" on Tuesday, June 10. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and can be attended either in person at the Pikes Peak Library District - East Library or virtually.

Led by Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert, the session aims to educate participants on various topics related to renting, including lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, eviction, and updates on recent housing legislation in Colorado. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about other legal and housing resources available in the community. However, presenters will not be able to provide individualized legal advice.

This session is part of the Renter Rights 101 workshop series for 2025 and is a collaboration between Colorado Legal Services, Pikes Peak Library District, The Justice Center, Colorado Housing Connects, the Independence Center, Silver Key, the Community Economic Defense Project, and the City of Colorado Springs Housing and Homelessness Response Department.
