DENVER ~ Denver - In a busy day at the state capitol, Governor Jared Polis signed a total of 18 bills into law. These bills cover a wide range of topics and were sponsored by various representatives and senators.
One of the bills signed into law is HB25-1049, which aims to protect the communication rights of individuals in custody. This bill was sponsored by Representative Garcia, as well as Senators Amabile and Gonzales.
Another important bill that was signed is HB25-1087, which focuses on confidentiality requirements for mental health support. This bill was sponsored by Representatives Armagost and Bird, along with Senators R. Pelton and Michaelson Jenet.
Governor Polis also signed HB25-1136, which establishes a peace officer conduct database. This bill was sponsored by Representatives Clifford and Bacon, as well as Senators Snyder and Frizell.
In addition to these bills, Governor Polis also signed HB25-1159, which addresses child support commission recommendations. This bill was sponsored by Representatives English and Joseph, along with Senators Mullica and Bright.
Another important piece of legislation that was signed into law is HB25-1162. This bill deals with eligibility redetermination for Medicaid members and was sponsored by Representative Feret and Senator Daugherty.

HB25-1176 aims to reduce stigma surrounding behavioral health treatment for providers. It was sponsored by Representative R. Stewart, as well as Senators Simpson and Michaelson Jenet.
Governor Polis also signed HB25-1188 into law, which implements recommendations from the Mandatory Reporter Task Force. This bill was sponsored by Representative Froelich, along with Senators Michaelson Jenet and Amabile.
Several other bills were also signed into law today including HB25-1204 - Colorado Indian Child Welfare Act; SB25-035 - Limitation of Actions Against Appraisers; SB25-081 - Treasurer's Office; SB25-175 - Sunset Bill Towing Task Force; SB25-179 - Sunset Identity Theft & Financial Deterrence Act; SB25-181 - Sunset Just Transition Advisory Committee; SB25-192 - Sunset Community Health Service Agency; SB25-202 - Repeal Climate Change Markets Grant Program; SB25-203 - Department of Public Health and Environment Funds Usage Public Water Systems Grant Contracts; SB25-212 - Temporary Inmate Transfer; SB25-254 - Transfer Stationary Sources Control Fund; SB25-294 - Behavioral Health Services for Medicaid Members; and SB25-295 - Transfer Proposition KK Money ARPA Cash Fund.
