~ Colorado Springs - East Motor Way, a major roadway connecting South Tejon Street and Motor City Drive, will be temporarily closed overnight on Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, April 17 at 5 a.m. This closure is necessary for the installation of new roadway signing and striping by construction crews.
According to city officials, detours will be in place during the closure. Westbound traffic on East Motor Way will be directed to turn south onto South Tejon Street and then west onto Brookside Street before reaching Motor City Drive. Similarly, eastbound traffic on East Motor Way will be rerouted to Woodburn Street, then south to Brookside Street before heading east towards South Tejon Street.

While the road will be closed to through traffic, access to businesses along East Motor Way will still be available. However, the traveling public is advised to seek alternate routes during this time.
