~ Dublin Boulevard at Marksheffel Road will undergo temporary lane closures starting Monday, Dec. 9 at 7 a.m. until Friday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m., as announced by the Marksheffel Road Improvements project team. The closures are necessary for crews to remove center median islands in preparation for future traffic alignments.
According to project officials, all turning movements will still be possible at the intersection during this time. However, travelers should expect delays during peak hours and are advised to consider alternate routes. Similar lane closures are also scheduled for Marksheffel Road at Dublin Boulevard the following week, starting on Dec. 15.
This work is part of the next phase of construction for the Marksheffel Road Improvements project, which is set to begin major construction between Barnes Road and Dublin Boulevard in early 2025 and continue through late 2026. This marks the second phase of planned construction on Marksheffel Road, with Phase 1 between North Carefree Circle and Barnes Road already completed except for final paving and lane striping.
