Colorado Springs: Deceased motorcyclist identified from fatal crash in the 800 block of Centennial Boulevard

~ Colorado Springs, CO - In the early hours of September 18, 2025, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a fatal traffic crash on Centennial Boulevard. According to reports, at approximately 4:43 AM, officers arrived at the scene to find a single motorcycle involved in the crash.

Despite medical personnel's efforts to save the driver's life, they were pronounced deceased on the scene. The CSPD Major Crash Team was called in to investigate due to the severity of the incident. Initial findings suggest that excessive speed may have played a role in the crash.

The following day, on September 19, 2025, an autopsy was conducted by the El Paso County Coroner's Office on the deceased rider. He has been identified as 27-year-old Hung Pham. This marks the 43rd fatality of this year and the 20th motorcycle fatality.

Comparatively, at this time last year there were only 39 fatalities reported. In total, there have been 53 fatalities in the last 365 days. The CSPD continues to urge caution and responsible driving to prevent further tragedies on Colorado roads.
