~ Colorado Springs to Perform Bridge Maintenance on Cresta and Cheyenne Roads
The City of Colorado Springs has announced that they will be conducting bridge maintenance on Cresta Road and Cheyenne Road from March 19th to April 11th. The maintenance work will take place on the Cresta Road bridge, which spans over Cheyenne Creek, and the Cheyenne Road bridge, located approximately 200 feet west of Cresta Road.
According to city officials, the work will coincide with the Colorado Springs School District 12 spring break. While the maintenance work is expected to continue until April 11th, it will only affect one lane of traffic in each direction on the Cresta Road bridge. However, the Cheyenne Road bridge will be restricted to one lane with flaggers.

The maintenance work includes waterproofing the bridge structure, replacing pavement, and repairing other items on both bridges. This is expected to extend the service life of the bridges and reduce the need for future repairs and road closures.
Travelers are advised to plan for extra time or seek alternate routes during this period. The city also encourages residents with any questions or concerns to contact City Engineering at City.Engineering@coloradosprings.gov or by calling 719-385-5908.
This maintenance work is being done in preparation for 2C's repaving project in the area this summer. It is expected to be completed before late June when The Broadmoor will host the 2025 United States Senior Open.
