Local entrepreneur Michelle Harris addresses the AI confidence crisis among minority women entrepreneurs, a gap the White House's own AI Action Plan created but failed to fill
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — As the federal government accelerates its push for AI dominance through Winning the Race: America's AI Action Plan, one Colorado Springs entrepreneur is asking a question Washington has not answered: Who is teaching the women who are being left behind?
Michelle Harris, Certified AI Prompt Engineer, AI Confidence Advocate, and author of BLAQ: The Ultimate Guide to Dynamic Prompts, is launching Confident and Capable: AI Masterclasses for Women Who Mean Business, a paid online masterclass series designed to close the AI adoption gap among minority women entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders.
The debut session, NotebookLM: From Bookmarks to Brilliance, takes place Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM EST via Google Meet. For $47, attendees receive 60 minutes of live, hands-on instruction showing them how to use Google's NotebookLM tool to organize years of saved bookmarks and digital content into a working knowledge system, immediately.

"The government is building AI infrastructure," said Harris. "I build AI confidence. Access without confidence is still exclusion, and that gap is exactly where my business operates."
Harris draws a direct line between her work and the federal AI Action Plan, which outlines over 90 policy actions focused on infrastructure, innovation, and global competition but offers no concrete pathways for underserved communities to build the confidence needed to adopt and integrate AI into their daily work and businesses.
Her upcoming free in-person event, AI Confidence: A Conversation, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Library 21c in Colorado Springs, extends that mission locally, offering minority women entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders a space to connect, ask questions, and leave with clarity about their next step in the AI economy.
"I want women in Colorado Springs to know this conversation belongs to them too," Harris said.
