~ Governor Jared Polis made a visit to Clear Creek and Summit Counties today, where he toured various projects aimed at improving the lives of Coloradans. In Clear Creek, the Governor stopped by Fieldhouse Apartments, a new housing complex that will provide affordable homes for hardworking individuals and families.
The complex, located in Idaho Springs, will offer 120 new homes for Coloradans who make 70-100% of the Area Median Income. This project was made possible through Proposition 123, which allocated $8.5 million in investment capital from the State of Colorado.
Governor Polis emphasized the importance of creating affordable housing options for all communities in the state, especially in mountain communities like Idaho Springs. He expressed his excitement about the state's partnership in this project and its potential to help more Coloradans afford rent or mortgage.

Later in the day, Governor Polis traveled to Summit County to visit Summit Fire & EMS Station 10. This newly completed station is a critical investment that will enhance wildfire protection for Coloradans and their communities.
In light of recent wildfires that have threatened mountain communities, Governor Polis stressed the significance of this project in keeping people and property safe. He met with staff at the station and discussed ways to further improve wildfire prevention efforts in Summit County.
