DENVER ~ Flags across the state of Colorado will be flown at half-staff on Thursday, July 2nd in honor of Sergeant Devin A. Seibel, who tragically lost his life on May 31st while serving at Erbil Airbase in Iraq. Governor Polis has ordered this tribute to be observed from sunrise to sunset as a mark of respect for Sergeant Seibel's service and sacrifice.
Sergeant Seibel was a member of the Air Ambulance Company 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Carson. He was deployed in support of Operations Inherent Resolve when he passed away.

In a statement, Governor Polis expressed his condolences to Sergeant Seibel's family and loved ones, acknowledging the bravery and dedication of all members of the military who put their lives on the line every day. He also emphasized that Colorado is proud of its service members and that no sacrifice goes unnoticed.
