DENVER ~ Governor Polis has announced the appointment of A. Danielle Touart to the 18th Judicial District Court in Denver. This decision comes after the creation of a new judgeship through Senate Bill 25-024 and will be effective starting July 1, 2026.

Ms. Touart brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as an Arapahoe County Court Judge in the same district since 2023. Her docket primarily consists of criminal cases. Prior to this, she held positions as a Supervising Deputy Public Defender and Deputy Public Defender at the Centennial Public Defender's Office of the Colorado State Public Defender from 2010 to 2017. She also served as Lead Deputy Public Defender at the Arapahoe Public Defender's Office from 2018 to 2022 and worked as an Attorney at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Texas from 2017 to 2018.
