DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is partnering with Red Rocks Church Lakewood Campus to host a community job fair for Denver-area residents on Tuesday, July 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Better Together helps parents who are going through a hard time to keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. With the help of donors and hundreds of volunteers and church communities, Better Together builds lasting support systems that help families cope with hardships – such as job loss, substance abuse, homelessness and jail time – and ensures that children are cared for in a safe home until the family can be reunited.
To date, the program has served over 9,000 children and kept 98% of families together, while helping 45,000 job seekers across 24 states find employment. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.

Registration is now open for hiring employers and job seekers to participate in the July event. The church-based job fairs not only connect job seekers with local employers who are ready to hire, but also provide resources to facilitate stronger connections and more hires. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite.
The July 16 job fair will take place at Red Rocks Church, located at 5810 W. Alameda Ave. in Lakewood. Job seekers and hiring employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/Events/Lakewood-CO-Community-Job-Fair-Hosted-by-Red-Rocks-Church/ or by texting "JOBS" to 844-987-3949.
