On September 1, 2026, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was notified of a burglary on the Colorado College campus. A patrol officer assigned to the Gold Hill Division conducted the initial investigation and identified Jesse Lupo, a registered sex offender, as the suspect.
On September 14, 2026, CSPD received another report that Mr. Lupo had gained access to a building on the Colorado College campus. Detectives with CSPD's Domestic Violence Adult Sexual Assault Unit (DVASA) and Registered Sex Offender Unit subsequently assumed responsibility for the investigation. As the investigation continued, detectives developed probable cause, and an arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Lupo in connection with this investigation. Mr. Lupo has not yet been located, and CSPD is asking for the community's assistance in locating him. A recent booking photo is located below.

Additionally, based on information developed during the investigation and Mr. Lupo's behavior, detectives believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet contacted law enforcement. CSPD encourages anyone who may have had an unreported encounter involving Mr. Lupo, or who has information that could assist with this investigation, to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding Mr. Lupo's whereabouts, his activities, or a possible unreported incident involving him is asked to contact CSPD at 719-444-7000. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous may contact Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867) or 1-800-222-8477. This remains an active investigation, and additional information will be released as appropriate.
