BOULDER, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) awarded Canadian company Kathairos Solutions first place at the eighth annual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge (OGCC) on October 21, 2021. Second place went to QubeTechnologies and third place went to Valence Natural Gas Solutions. The OGCC works to connect clean energy and technology businesses to the oil and natural gas industry.
The winning innovation from Kathairos Solutions system uses liquid nitrogen to completely eliminate fugitive methane emissions from pneumatic devices at remote oil and gas facilities. For more information on their product and company you can visit www.kathairos.com.
President and CEO of Kathairos Dick Brown said, "The Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge was an incredible opportunity to showcase the Kathairos solution to many of the most influential companies in the energy industry. We truly believe our technology is the answer to the problem of methane venting from pneumatics - it is simple, affordable, and can be easily scaled to meet the magnitude of the task at hand. We are honored to be selected among such a talented international field"
