From Love Letter to Local Anthem: The Evolution of a Passion Project By alexander Lee LoCicero Campbell nieves and Jeremiah Nathanial banks
AURORA, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- On this spring day in 2026, Alexander Lee Nieves and Jeremiah Nathanial Banks, the founders of the community-driven collective Serve Aurora, are taking a nostalgic look back at the musical milestone that defined their creative partnership.
What began as a personal gesture has grown into a cherished piece of their history, spanning two distinct releases that captured a specific time and feeling.
From a Private Poem to a Public Debut (2020)
The story of the track began on July 31, 2020, with the release of the original single, "My World." Far from the mechanics of the music industry, the project was born out of pure sentiment. Jeremiah Nathanial Banks originally penned the lyrics as a love song for his girlfriend at the time, pouring his heart into a "short lil rhyme" that resonated with anyone who has ever felt "warm and fuzzy inside."

Joined by the vocal performance of Alexander Lee Nieves, the duo released the track just for fun, marking the first time the Serve Aurora founders shared their collaborative creative spirit with the world.
The Evolution: "My World Remastered" (2022)
Two years later, on December 22, 2022, the duo revisited the track to give it the "Remastered" treatment. This version polished the raw emotion of the 2020 original, bringing a professional sheen to the lyrics that had already become a staple of their personal journey:
"You're my world, I think about you all the time,
I had to come up with this short lil rhyme.
You make me feel warm and fuzzy inside,
My emotions I cannot hide..."
A Legacy of Friendship and Fun
Looking back from 2026, "My World" remains the only musical venture from the Serve Aurora founders. While they are not a music label, this single project serves as a time capsule of their friendship. It stands as a reminder that the best art often comes from the simplest intentions: a man writing for the woman he loves and two friends having a great time bringing those words to life.

"It was always about the feeling," the founders reflect. "Whether it was the 2020 original or the 2022 remaster, it was the first and last thing on our minds to just keep it real."
