The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) selected Estrada for her dedication to serving Latinx students and her commitment to educational innovation and improvement.

Estrada will receive $10,000 towards her doctoral degree at Loyola University Chicago's Administration and Supervision Superintendent Endorsement Ed.D. program. As a first-generation Mexican-American leader, she sees this scholarship as a pivotal opportunity to further her education and fulfill her goal of becoming a superintendent.

"I am grateful for this scholarship as it will not only allow me to continue my education but also serve as a role model for my sons and other Latinx youth," said Estrada.
