DENVER ~ In a move to ensure the safety and security of Colorado's upcoming statewide election, Governor Jared Polis has issued an Executive Order activating members of the Colorado National Guard to assist with election cybersecurity defense. This order, which is issued before every statewide election, aims to maintain Colorado's reputation as the "gold standard" for free and fair elections.

Governor Polis emphasized the importance of voting as a means for Coloradans to have their voices heard. He stated, "We strive to be the gold standard for free and fair elections, and take every measure necessary to ensure that our elections are safe and secure."

The Executive Order will activate unarmed members of the Colorado National Guard on November 4, 2025, during the statewide election day. This has been a yearly practice since 2019.

To make the voting process easier for Coloradans, they can visit GoVoteColorado.gov to find their polling place or official drop box, track their ballot, or register to vote. It is crucial for voters to return their ballots by mail or in-person at a polling place or drop box before 7:00 p.m. on November 4.

With this Executive Order in place, Governor Polis hopes to maintain Colorado's reputation as a leader in safe and secure elections.
