The indicators included veteran unemployment and income growth, housing affordability, access to VA benefits and health facilities, and community supports such as military discounts at local businesses. Colorado Springs stood out in all of these areas, highlighting its strong employment opportunities, quality of life, and access to veteran-centered services.

This recognition is a testament to the City of Colorado Springs' ongoing commitment to supporting its veteran population. The city has long-standing ties to the military with five installations and a vibrant network of veteran service organizations. WalletHub's analysis showed that Colorado Springs excels in multiple dimensions important to veterans and their families. This includes job prospects and income growth for veterans as well as access to high-quality VA facilities. Additionally, the city has a comparatively low rate of veteran homelessness.
