Starting Sunday, Aug. 8 crews will begin preventative maintenance work on the Academy Blvd. bridge over Milton Proby Pkwy. Work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly with at least one lane of traffic open both ways during construction.
The traffic pattern is expected to remain for 5 weeks, pending weather delays. Alternate routes are advised, and drivers should expect possible delays during this time. Please slow down and drive safely through the work zone.

This project is funded by the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority.
This bridge maintenance work is separate from the South Academy Boulevard Reconstruction project, which is expected to start construction in 2022 and will address aging pavement, curb and gutter, and improve drainage conveyance along the Academy Blvd. corridor.
