Colorado Springs: Motorcyclist Identified from Fatal Crash at North Union Boulevard and Garmish Road on August 12th, 2025

~ On the afternoon of August 12, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred at the intersection of North Union Boulevard and Garmish Road in Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a report of the crash at approximately 3:42 PM and immediately dispatched medical and police personnel to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders discovered that a motorcycle had collided with another vehicle at the intersection. Tragically, the rider of the motorcycle was found deceased on the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The CSPD Major Crash Team was called in to take over the investigation. Initial findings suggest that excessive speed may have played a role in the crash.

The following day, on August 13, 2025, an autopsy was conducted by the El Paso County Coroner's Office on the deceased rider. The rider has been identified as 41-year-old Randy Dibuono from Colorado Springs.

This incident marks the 36th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. Comparatively, at this time last year there were 37 traffic fatalities reported. In total, there have been 48 traffic fatalities in Colorado Springs within the past year. The CSPD continues to urge caution and safe driving practices to prevent further tragedies on their roads.
