Colorado Springs: Costilla Street to close through January 2026 east of Wahsatch Avenue

Starting on Monday, Nov. 10, Costilla Street, immediately east of Wahsatch Avenue, will close. Crews need to remove an unused railroad bridge.

The work starts on Monday, Nov. 10 and should be done by Jan. 30, weather permitting.

The bridge is in poor condition and requires removal to keep travelers safe. Drivers should use a detour route of Pikes Peak Avenue to the north and Fountain Boulevard to the south.
