Fund created to support women impacted by cancer and their children
BEDMINSTER, N.J. - ColoradoDesk -- Crossroads4Hope, A Network of Cancer Support announces the establishment of The Lipschutz Women's Fund, a dedicated fund created through the extraordinary generosity and vision of philanthropist, Rachel Lipschutz.
"In 2022, I was honored to establish a fund at Crossroads4Hope to help women diagnosed with cancer and their children - ensuring that, beyond the emotional, social, and practical support they would receive through the organization, there was also financial assistance available to help address the non-medical challenges and burdens that surround a cancer diagnosis," said Lipschutz. "I am proud to announce that this effort will continue through The Lipschutz Women's Fund."
The Fund is unique in that it integrates financial assistance with comprehensive supportive cancer care - recognizing that individuals and families facing cancer often need far more than financial help alone. Through Crossroads4Hope's whole-person, family-centered approach, individuals and families can access, at no charge, counseling, group support, and other mental health services, navigation and resource referrals, nutrition and wellness education, and tools to help manage emotional and physical wellbeing. In addition, the organization provides 24/7 support through MyGo2Support, its direct-to-mobile supportive care program that proactively identifies individuals at risk and connects them to social workers who help address issues such as financial hardship, housing and job insecurity, lack of insurance, transportation barriers, and childcare challenges before they become barriers to care. Most importantly, people are connected to a compassionate community of peers, as well as professionals who are essential to living through and beyond cancer.

"Beyond any one program or service we offer, members say we are a lifeline during their greatest time of need and beyond, because as long as cancer is part of someone's life, we are here to help," said Amy Sutton, Chief Executive Officer of Crossroads4Hope. "We understand people are more than their diagnosis, and that cancer affects emotional wellbeing, family stability, finances, caregiving responsibilities, and daily life. We are deeply grateful to Rachel for recognizing this and entrusting this fund to Crossroads4Hope to help ensure we provide people the support and resources they deserve to navigate the cancer journey with dignity, hope, and a caring community of peers and professionals who help ensure no one faces cancer alone. Because every gift has the power to make an immediate and meaningful impact on people's lives, we hope Rachel's generosity inspires others who want to help change lives to do so through our organization."
For 25 years, Crossroads4Hope has worked to ensure no one faces cancer alone. As the need for supportive cancer care continues to grow, the funds distributed last year increased by more than 417% over the previous year. This announcement comes at a pivotal time as Crossroads4Hope expands its innovative care model to reach more individuals and families impacted by cancer nationwide.
"Naming the fund reflects and honors the legacy of care, responsibility, and compassion that was passed down to me by my mother and grandmother, while extending it forward into the future," Lipschutz added. "I hope this fund continues to serve not only as assistance, but also as a reminder that generosity can ripple across generations."
