~ The Colorado Springs City Council is seeking dedicated residents to fill volunteer positions on two important commissions. These commissions play a crucial role in the growth and development of our community.
One of the openings is for a voting member on the Civil Service Commission, which oversees the rules and regulations for civil service employees in the police and fire departments. The commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the City Administration Building. Interested applicants must submit their application by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The second opening is for a voting member on the Community Relations Commission, which advises the City Council on improving relations between the public and the Colorado Springs Police Department. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 5 p.m. in City Hall's Pikes Peak Room.
