BOULDER ~ Boulder- In a move to improve road safety, Governor Polis has signed SB26-132, also known as Magnus's Law. The bill, sponsored by Senators Dylan Roberts and John Carson, and Representatives Junie Joseph and Matt Soper, requires law enforcement officers to offer a voluntary alcohol breathalyzer test to drivers involved in motor vehicle crashes that result in death or injury.
During the signing ceremony, Governor Polis expressed his gratitude towards the advocates, sponsors, and White family for their efforts in making this law a reality. He stated that this law honors the legacy of Magnus White and aims to prevent other families from experiencing the heartbreak that the White family has endured.
