VerbaGPT Launches with Two AI Modes: Instant Cloud Analysis and Deep Local Agentic Data Science

Virgo handles fast, natural-language queries in the browser; Taurus brings a Claude-powered agentic workflow to local databases and files for deeper investigation.

PARKER, Colo. - ColoradoDesk -- VerbaGPT, a natural-language data analysis platform, today announced its public launch, giving analysts, founders, and data teams two distinct ways to query their data: a fast cloud mode for everyday questions and a local agentic mode for deep, multi-step investigation.

Most AI data tools force a tradeoff between speed and depth. Quick chat-based answers that can't handle real complexity, or heavyweight notebooks that require setup and coding skill. VerbaGPT addresses this with two purpose-built modes under one interface.

Virgo, the cloud mode, runs in the browser and is built for speed: ask a question in plain English and get back a chart, table, or analysis in seconds, backed by real generated Python code rather than a black-box answer. It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake databases, along with uploaded files (CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Drive imports.

Taurus, the local mode, is built for depth. Powered by Claude's agentic SDK, it runs multi-step investigations: inspecting schemas, running SQL, writing and executing Python against a user's own local databases and files, reasoning iteratively the way a human analyst would work through a problem.

Both modes share the same underlying data dictionary ("Data Notes"), so context carries over whether a team is doing a quick lookup or a deep-dive investigation. VerbaGPT also supports organizations and teams, with shared datasources, prompt libraries, and role-based access.

"Every data tool makes you choose: fast and shallow, or deep and slow. We didn't want our users to make that choice every time they open the app," said Syed Mehmud, Founder of VerbaGPT. "Ask a quick question and Virgo answers it in seconds. Need to actually dig: join tables, test a hypothesis, chase down an anomaly, and Taurus will work through it step by step, the way an analyst would, against your own local data. Same product, same context, no re-explaining yourself to a different tool."
