DENVER - Colorado Governor Jared Polis applauded the Senate Banking Committee for passing the SAFER Banking Act. Governor Polis has consistently called on Congress to pass this law to help provide stability in the cannabis industry.
"I am thrilled the Senate has finally taken up this important piece of legislation that will provide more certainty to our small businesses and marijuana industry, this is an important step and I thank the Senators who voted in favor of this bipartisan bill," said Governor Polis. We look forward to seeing a full vote in the Senate and passage in the House again soon."
