DENVER ~ Today, Governor Polis appointed Heidi Humphreys as executive director of the Department of Revenue (DOR). With over 18 years of experience working for the State, Humphreys has dedicated her career to serving Coloradans.
Gov. Polis expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, saying "Heidi's career of public service is a testament to her commitment to providing high-quality, efficient services to Coloradans and we are thrilled for her to bring her expertise to the executive director role at the Department of Revenue. We remain focused on saving people money and providing innovative, streamlined services to Coloradans and look forward to partnering with Heidi and the Department of Revenue on this important work as we continue to transform the culture from one of regulation to one of empowerment."
Humphreys expressed her gratitude for being able to serve in this capacity, saying "It is a great honor to be able to serve the administration in this capacity. Our role at the department is unique, our services are essential for many Coloradans, and that means we have an incredible impact on people's lives. I am thrilled to lead the team of dedicated professionals that works every day to enhance access to our services and continues to make Colorado a great place to work and live."

Humphreys has worked in various roles within Colorado's government since 2002. She served as Director, Division of Administrative Services at the Colorado Department of Transportation from 2010 - 2015; Director, Colorado Rural Workforce at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) from 2006 - 2010; Regional Director with CDLE from 2005-2006; and Workforce Training Coordinator at Colorado Mountain College from 2002 - 2005.
Humphreys holds a Bachelor of Science in Education of the Hearing Impaired from Texas Woman's University and a Master's in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University.
Today marks an exciting new chapter for Heidi Humphreys as she takes on her new role as executive director of DOR under Governor Polis' administration.
