Market-driven showcase connects clean technology to global mining organizations

DENVER - ColoradoDesk -- Colorado Cleantech is now accepting applications for the ninth annual Mining Cleantech Challenge, a market-driven innovation showcase to be held in person at the Carriage House, Governor's Residence on October 29, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.

Colorado Cleantech is hosting the Mining Cleantech Challenge in partnership with leading mining companies from across the globe. The program provides targeted connections between mining industry operators, OEMs, and clean technology solution providers with the goal of meeting industry's needs while introducing innovative clean technology solutions to the marketplace.

Companies selected for participation in the program have the opportunity to present directly to industry experts. There are no geographic restrictions for this event; local, national, and international companies with innovative technologies may apply.

"Driving innovation in mining creates unprecedented opportunities for cleaner operations, environmental sustainability, and optimized resource utilization," stated Colorado Cleantech Executive Director Laura Hickernell. "We're thrilled to work alongside visionary mining companies that embrace the decarbonization imperative and champion this vital innovation discovery platform."

Colorado Cleantech's partners for this year's program include Sumitomo, Fresnillo, Royal Gold, Consulate General of Canada, Colorado Energy Office, and the Colorado School of Mines.

The application process is now open for clean technology companies to showcase their innovative products and technologies. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Cyanide Destruction and/or Cyanide Regeneration Processes for Slurries or Solutions

  • Mercury Abatement and/or Removal Processes
  • Pelletizing, Briquetting and Granulation
  • Pre-Concentration
  • Plant or Biological Solutions
  • Process Solutions

  • Production Management
  • Remote / Distributed Power
  • Remote Operation or Automation of Machinery
  • Remote Sensing
  • Resource Characterization and Mine Planning
  • Scale Mitigation/Prevention
