DENVER, Nov. 21, 2024 ~ The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) has been recognized for its outstanding work in supporting justice-impacted job seekers by receiving one of PepsiCo Foundation's 2024 Community Impact Awards. The PepsiCo Foundation, the philanthropic arm of PepsiCo, Inc., awarded CEO Denver for its dedication and commitment to the communities it serves.
CEO Denver is among 100 public charities and organizations across the United States and Canada to receive this prestigious award. The program aims to provide resources for employment services to justice-impacted individuals through strategic partnerships with local communities.
Sam Schaefer, Executive Director of the Center for Employment Opportunities, expressed gratitude for the award, stating that it will allow them to expand their reach and provide long-term support for justice-impacted individuals seeking employment and economic stability. Since 2017, CEO Denver has helped numerous individuals secure steady work, develop skills, overcome employment barriers, and achieve socioeconomic mobility.

Glin, President of PepsiCo Foundation and Global Head of Social Impact at PepsiCo, emphasized the importance of supporting local leaders and nonprofit organizations in addressing social challenges within their communities. He stated that the Community Impact Awards celebrate these trailblazers who are making a meaningful difference in North America.
PepsiCo employees were invited to nominate local organizations for the Community Impact Awards, with CEO being selected as one of their most admired nonprofits. Glin expressed honor in working alongside these inspiring organizations to amplify their efforts in creating lasting positive social impacts across North America.
Currently operating in 30 cities, CEO believes that anyone with a recent criminal history who wants to work should have access to preparation and support needed to find a job and stay connected to the labor force. This aligns with the PepsiCo Foundation's dedication to partnering with local nonprofits as they understand that these organizations are deeply rooted in the communities where PepsiCo employees live and work.
