- Support for more USP 1.2 (draft) features
- New approach to generate unique and persistent default keys and other major key related improvements
- Programmatic control over metadata serialization
- Significant performance improvements in the default data mapping implementation
- Major reduction in the number of temporary allocations
- Bundled libprotobuf-c source to cut one external dependency and prevent version collisions
- Support for newer versions of OpenSSL, mbedTLS and Lua
- Improved APIs and internal clutter reduction
