NEW YORK - ColoradoDesk -- The Lighthouse Foundation Launches "The Art of Philanthropy" — A Year-Long Campaign Supporting the USO and Military Veterans
New York, NY — The Lighthouse Foundation, in partnership with and in support of the USO, proudly announces the launch of The Art of Philanthropy (AoP), a year-long nationwide campaign dedicated to the USO and their mission of supporting the well-being of service members and their families. The campaign officially begins on October 26, 2025, in honor of National Day of the Deployed — a day recognizing the bravery and sacrifice of U.S. service members deployed in service to the United States.
The Art of Philanthropy stands at the intersection of creativity and service — uniting art, purpose, and national gratitude. The initiative will feature curated artwork available for professional rental nationwide, with proceeds benefiting the USO, participating veteran artists, and partnering veteran-focused art organizations.
The campaign proudly partners with the Veteran Art Institute (VAI) — a nonprofit bringing together a nationally recognized network of military veteran artists and empowering them through creativity, professional opportunity, and healing expression. Their contribution to AoP ensures that veteran voices are not just represented — they are economically supported and culturally elevated.
" The Art of Philanthropy campaign is a beautiful example of creativity meeting purpose," said Rebecca Parkes, USO Regional President. "By showcasing and renting artwork created by veterans, we're not only celebrating their talent and stories, but also generating vital support for the USO mission to strengthen the well-being of service members and their families. It's a meaningful way for the community to engage—with art that inspires and a cause vital to our nation."

"The Veteran Art Institute is honored to stand alongside the USO and The Lighthouse Foundation in this extraordinary campaign. Through art, our service members and veterans share their strength, their stories, and their continued service to community. Our mission has always been to give these voices a national platform — where creativity bridges understanding, fosters healing, and inspires gratitude." said Laura Taylor, Executive Director of the Veteran Art Institute.
"Every veteran artist tells a story of courage, resilience, and hope. By highlighting their work, we honor not just their service, but the journeys they continue to navigate every day," said Goran Mandic, Director of Development at the Lighthouse Foundation.
Whether you're an art lover, a supporter of our nation's heroes, or both — this is your moment to take part. By renting or showcasing art through the Art of Philanthropy, you help fund critical USO programs, empower veteran artists, and support organizations uplifting our military community.
