ATLANTA, March 11, 2025 ~ Swisslog, a leading provider of warehouse automation and software, has announced that their long-time customer Medline will be implementing an AutoStore system optimized by Swisslog's SynQ software in their Aurora, Colorado facility. This marks the 24th installation of an AutoStore system since the two companies began working together over a decade ago.
The new AutoStore deployment is part of Medline's ongoing efforts to improve order fulfillment and operational efficiency. With its flexibility and scalability, the Colorado installation will help Medline meet the increasing demand for their products and ensure efficient delivery of critical medical supplies. The system will consist of 94 robots, 8 induction workstations, and 10 picking workstations, all integrated with Swisslog's powerful SynQ intralogistics software platform.
Sean Wallingford, president and CEO of Swisslog Americas, expressed pride in their partnership with Medline and gratitude for their continued trust in Swisslog's automation and software solutions. He stated that this milestone deployment is a testament to the successful collaboration between the two companies in transforming Medline's supply chain. The result will be increased fulfillment speed, operational capacity, and flexibility.

Medline was the first company in North America to implement AutoStore technology back in 2013. Daniel Schwartz, vice president of engineering at Medline, highlighted the important role that AutoStore plays in helping them efficiently service all points of care. He noted that it has significantly improved their pick rate and overall service quality.
With over 20 AutoStore installations across the country utilizing 1,800 robots, Medline strongly believes that implementing advanced automation and software has doubled or even quadrupled their pick rates. This has enabled them to provide next day delivery to 95% of their customers in the United States.
Angelica Chavez, director of operations for Medline's Aurora distribution center, emphasized that this investment in their facility demonstrates Medline's commitment to expanding their presence in the Denver area. With the help of this technology, their team will be able to increase the speed of their deliveries and improve service offerings to healthcare providers in Colorado and its surrounding states.
