DENVER ~ Denver, CO - SSR Mining Inc. (Nasdaq/TSX: SSRM; ASX: SSR) has provided an update on the ongoing rescue efforts at the Çöpler Mine in Türkiye. The incident, which occurred on February 13, 2024, has left nine workers missing and all operations at the mine have been suspended.
Search and rescue operations are still underway with all available resources being deployed to assist in the operation. Emergency crews and first responders are working tirelessly around-the-clock, utilizing advanced search techniques supported by aerial drones. The thoughts of the company are with the families of the missing workers and the Çöpler community during this difficult time.
SSR Mining is fully cooperating with local authorities who have detained eight Çöpler Mine employees while conducting their investigation. The company is also providing support to these individuals and their families.
