Governor Polis Orders Flags to be Lowered to Honor Former Colorado State Senator Keith King

DENVER ~ Governor Jared Polis has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of former Colorado State Senator Keith King. The memorial for King, who passed away last week, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21. On that day, flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset on all public buildings statewide.

In a statement, Governor Polis expressed his devastation upon learning of King's passing. He praised King's dedication to public service, citing his time in the General Assembly and on the Colorado Springs City Council. Polis also acknowledged King's efforts in improving access to quality education through the creation of Colorado Early College.
