~ Colorado Springs, CO- During the eleventh annual Mayor's Young Leader Awards held tonight, Mayor Yemi Mobolade recognized seven exceptional individuals for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields and their positive impact on the Colorado Springs community.
Expressing his pride and admiration for the award winners, Mayor Yemi stated, "I am proud and inspired by the excellence displayed by each of the award winners. These individuals join a remarkable group of young leaders who have gone on to build successful careers, inspire others, and bring about lasting change in Colorado Springs and beyond. Their ideas, energy, and dedication to our community are helping to create a safe, economically prosperous, culturally rich, welcoming, and vibrant city on a hill that shines brightly."

The Mayor's Young Leader Awards were first launched in 2015 to honor the exceptional achievements of young professionals under the age of 40. This year's winners were selected from a pool of 35 finalists across seven categories.
The 2024 winners are as follows:
- Military Leaders Award: MSgt Connor Olney from the United States Air Force
- Technology and Sustainability: Rachael Maxwell from Exponential Impact
- Sports, Health and Wellness: Christina Lorete from Colorado College and UpaDowna
- Education: Keith Bisaillon from Harrison School District 2
- Economic Impact: Samuel Clark from Pikes Peak Real Estate Foundation
- Creative Industry: Preston Goff from The Exodus Road
- Community Impact: Kimberly Gold from Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce
