Colorado Springs: Registration for spring youth sports opens Wednesday

Trending...
~ Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services has announced the opening of registration for youth spring soccer and tackle football on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 9 a.m. Families can also look forward to registering for youth summer sports, including t-ball, baseball, and softball starting on Feb. 24.

This year, a new and improved registration system has been introduced to make the process easier and more convenient for families. The new system will allow families to register and pay for activities, view schedules, receive updated information, and even opt in for smart-phone access. In addition to youth sports, the new portal will also offer registration for pavilion rentals, Therapeutic Recreation Program activities, and various health and wellness programs.

Thanks to a program created by Olympic City USA in 2025, hundreds of local kids will have the opportunity to play organized youth sports free of charge at park sites across Colorado Springs. The program aims to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among children in the community. For the first 180 kids to register in the pre-K-2nd grade age divisions, the $86 fee for spring soccer will be waived. Additionally, there will be 150 free spots available in select age divisions for summer t-ball (a $74 value) and an additional 180 spots for fall soccer. As an added bonus, jerseys are included as part of the free registration.

For adults ages 18-plus who are looking to get involved in their community, there are plenty of opportunities to serve as a volunteer coach for these teams. The Sports Office provides equipment and training for all volunteer coaches and no prior coaching experience is required.

To begin the registration process, interested individuals can visit ColoradoSprings.gov/CreateAccount. Don't miss out on this chance to get your child involved in organized sports or give back to your community as a volunteer coach!
