Colorado Springs: Portion of Pikes Peak parking lot in Old Colorado City closing for retaining wall work

~ The City of Colorado Springs has announced plans to begin a project to repair a retaining wall in the Pikes Peak parking lot located in Old Colorado City. The project is set to commence on Monday, February 17 and will result in the closure of a section of the lot.

The affected area is situated east of Colorado Avenue, between 25th and 26th Streets, and will impact a total of 34 parking spaces. The city aims to complete the repairs before the start of Territory Days, which takes place during Memorial Day weekend in Old Colorado City.

During the construction period, alternative parking options will be available at the east side of the Pikes Peak lot, as well as at the Cucharras Lot (2422 W. Cucharras Street) and Colorado Alley Lot (2617 W. Colorado Avenue). For more information on parking locations, individuals can visit coloradosprings.gov/parking.
